Fish and chips make a crispy and scrumptious lunch, particularly if you are chilling out at the beach or in the park.

Do you have a favourite chippery?

It's not close to the sea but it's close to my ideal: Montrose Fish & Chippery in the foothills of the Dandenongs. Crisp, fat chips and fish that's fresh and famously fried. No wonder the queues are as formidable as the quality.
Hooked in Fitzroy. Good fish and chips PLUS GREAT name! ;)
For excellent fish and chips, you cannot go past Hunky Dorys in post Melbourne. They serve not only traditional battered fish, but a range of grilled options, burgers, chips, brown rice (fantastic for the health conscious), and salads. The service is excellent and really friendly. Grab a table outside and enjoy a brilliant, very reasonably priced meal.
