Some jobs can be as fun to do as they are well paid. While I don't think we have jobs like duvet tester or state jester (see top 10 best jobs in the world), I'm sure we have some interesting jobs here in Melbourne. What do you think? What are the best jobs in Melbourne?
The otherday i went and visit the Polly Woodside ship in Southbank Melbourne, The guide said they are looking for workers, You get to dress up as a pirate and host pirate parties for kids on a ship from the 1900`s and get paid to do it..how awesome is that
A quirky job that is heaps of fun is 'suit work': to dress up as a character either for a promotion campaign, or perhaps for an event like the Melbourne Show. Some of the Luna Park entertainments possibly employ people to do this kind of work, and I know for a fact that some fairy shops (which specialise in kids' parties and community events) employ fairies and Sovereign Hill in Ballarat employs people to dress up in period costume. I've done a bit of this kind of work over the years...as a 'lollypop lady' for a bank promotion and as a monster for horror maze at an annual show. Over one Easter holiday a few years ago my daughter worked for an advertising agency as an Easter Bunny in shopping centres, meeting and greeting children, and passing out Easter eggs. This kind of work is very casual and it won't make you rich, but if you're outgoing and like a laugh, it's heaps of fun.
