Mediterranean cuisine is all the more popular because it actually incorporates dishes from various countries, such as Greece, Lebanon, Turkey, Israel, etc.

Hummus, Falafel, Baba Ganoush, Tzatziki, Kebobs, Gyro; take any of these foods' names and your taste-buds will fire up.

Maha, Movida and Stalactites are some wonderful Mediterranean restaurants in Melbourne.
our recent experience at Stalactites was not good at all. The cuts of meat we ordered were dripping grease and oil. We vowed never to go back there again. Haven't tried the others.
I went there a year ago and had a good experience. It is a pity that the place has gone downhill.

Adonis Tavern is a Lebanese restaurant in Carlton, and is excellent. You can read my review at:

In Caulfield North, we have discovered a gem of a Mediterranean place called 12 Chairs.

I will also highly recommend Philhellene Greek restaurant in Mooneponds. Their banquets are the best way to sample their mouth-watering offerings.Absolutely gorgeous food. The banquets are huge and meant for sharing and worth every cent.
