The population of Melbourne is spreading around the city, but both airports are located in the Western suburbs.

Do you think that another airport in the South Eastern suburbs would facilitate air travel for the masses living in these areas?

Yes, people living in the South Eastern suburbs are at a major disadvantage for not having an airport in the region. The travel time to the serving airports adds at least an hour or more to their travel time and is a definitely deterrent to making frequent travel plans. Taking a cab is quite expensive as the public transport is inadequate.
Melbourne has an airport at Moorabbin. There's also an airport at Tooraddin.

The south east is too built up to have an airport unless it's further out (see Warragul).
Tooraddin and Moorabbin do not cater to traveling Australia-wide.
Yes, agree with Happy Mom. At least it should have an domestic airport to other cities of Australia.
