Watch Melbourne city on wheels; this Explorer bus service gives you the liberty to hop-off at the tourist locations of your choice and catch the next bus once you are done. One ticket with multiple entries through the day.
Have you traveled on this bus service?
It's cheaper for us seniors, just to use our Myki cards, to go where we want to go.
Sydney has a few different ones I think; hop on, hop off buses, but we can travel all day long & go anywhere, for $2.50, but it's a good deal for o's visitors as Finy points out.
Yes this is something I did once when I was with a friend who had not been to Melbourne before.
It is very convenient however we ended up renting a car anyway as this is far more convenient.
It is a good idea especially for overseas visitors and those who would have a problem driving on the other side of the road to what they are used to.
I think this sort of thing is now in many cities but the Melbourne one covered the Casino, Stadium, Lygon Street, Fitzroy Gardens -can't think where else it went but it went to a lot of the main tourist areas.
