Buffets are great fun especially when large groups of people go out for a meal. Patrons can sample a wide variety of choices for very economical prices. Restaurants that offer buffets are dotted throughout Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
If you enjoy a buffet experience, which one is your favourite restaurant, where is it and what makes it worth trying?
I used to like the buffet at New Quay, very fresh seafood and delicious desserts. It used to be around $45 per adult but now it's around $65. I haven't been back ever since. If you're looking for quality I would also suggest the buffet at the Langham Hotel. It's a fair bit pricier but the place is really nice and the service is excellent. If you prefer afternoon tea the hightea buffet at Windsor hotel is also a good choice, also approximately $75 per head.
I love the buffet at the Melba. It is $55 per person for lunch on weekdays and $80 per person for dinner on weekdays while prices reach $100 mark for each person on weekends. The food is simply beautiful and the variety of the food will drop your jaw and water your mouth. With huge array of seafood, desserts, Mediterranean, Indian, Chinese and Japanese food to choose from, you will be spoilt for option.
Lynbrook Hotel in Lynbrook has an excellent buffet with extremely economical prices. There is a play area for kids as well. The place is packed so reservations are required. They do reservations in 2-hour sessions (a slight drawback in my opinion). I love their salad and desserts bar.
