Fountains have that beautiful and calming effect as water trickles down and produces fine mist. Perhaps the original function of water features was for drinking purposes, but now fountains are elaborate decorative features used in urban planning of large cities.
Where are some of Melbourne's most beautiful fountains or water features? Some may be indoors and may be hidden from public view due to their location. Don't forget to list those as well.
I agree about the fountain in Carlton Garden. It is really beautiful, esp. in a hot summer day. The wall of water, in my opinion, would be better if they spaced it out a bit and adjust the size. I can't manage to take any photos there and my clothes get wet if I try to stand closer to capture the scene.
