Op Shops are very popular in Melbourne. People prefer op shops for various reasons such as cheap prices and opportunity to wear vintage and brand stuff.

Shag in Wondsor and OTC in Fitzroy are some excellent trendy op shops selling high quality, fashionable vintage clothing, jewellery, footware and more.
Ooo, op shops, my favourite topic!

I have lots of 'best' op shops, I find most of them are in the suburbs where you can find unexpected gems and genuine vintage without the high prices of trendy city second-hand stores.

Frankston is good for op shopping (I've written a review of op shops in Frankston here> http://www.weekendnotes.com/top-op-shopping-frankston/)

Vinnies in Ringwood is a fantastic op shop since its refurbishment (http://www.weekendnotes.com/vinnies-charity-shop-and-retail-centre-ringwood/)

Otherwise Melbourne based op shops I'd recommend the Sacred Heart in St Kilda, and Sacred Heart in South Melbourne.

The Pop Up Op Shop in Windsor is fantastic too (http://www.weekendnotes.com/the-pop-up-op-shop/)

I've heard that Salvos in Abbortsford is really good for proper vintage and retro goods, but I've not been so can't confirm.

LOVE Op Shopping!

There is a small Salvos in Narre Warren on Webb Street and I almost always find great bargains especially in the Toys section.
Brotherhood of St. Laurence in Brunswick Road, Brunswick is HUGE and pretty good! HEAPS of new stuff coming daily. Lots of choices :-)

Vinnies in high st Epping, they have a huge range of furniture, clothes, manchester, electrical, childrens and babies toys, furniture, heaps of books, bric a brac etc. Sometimes it's just luck, they get alot of donations and the good stuff goes quickly.
